Use the Administrative Services > Discovery node to define new discovery jobs and view existing discovery jobs. Use discovery jobs to find new CIMOMs, Out of Band Fabrics, Windows Domains, and NAS filers that have been introduced into your environment.
You can create and edit discovery jobs by clicking on the following subnodes:
When you click a job node, the following tabs might appear depending on the type of job that was clicked: When to Run, Alert, Options (CIMOM), Options (Out of Band Fabric), and Options (Windows Domain and NAS filers)
Every time a discovery job runs an entry is added beneath the node to which it corresponds. For example, if a CIMOM discovery runs, an entry for that run is added as a subnode to the CIMOM node. Expand a main discovery node (CIMOM, Out of Band Fabric, and Windows Domain and NAS) to view the runs associated with that job.
A status indicator appears beside the runs listed under each of the discovery nodes:
