Discovery - Options (Windows Domain, NAS, and SAN FS)

Use this page to enter the name of the SNMP communities that the Aperi Storage Manager should use when communicating with machines in your environment. If you do not enter the name of an SNMP community, the default community public is used. Aperi Storage Manager uses the SNMP protocol to contact and identify NAS filers.

Skip Workstations

Check this box to skip discovery of machines flagged as workstations according to the domain controller. The operating systems on the machines within your environment inform the domain controller whether they are workstations or servers.

Checking this option can significantly speed up the discovery process.

Add

Enter the name of an SNMP community and click this button to add that community to the display window. Aperi Storage Manager will use the community when communicating with machines in your environment.

Del

Highlight an SNMP community and click this button to delete it from the display window.
