Services - GUI window
Use this window to view information about the Data Manager GUI service.

Administering the GUI Service
You can perform a number of administrative actions against the GUI service,
including viewing its log, configuring tracing, and shutting it down.
To perform actions against the service:
- Expand Services > Data Server in the navigation tree.
- Right-click on a service.
- Select one of the following actions from the pop-up menu to perform
against the service:
- View log - View log for the service. The log is displayed in the content pane.
- Start - Start the service. This option appears when the service is down.
- Configure Tracing - Set tracing options for the service on the GUI Tracing Configuration window.
- Shutdown - Shut down the processes within the GUI that enable you to generate report requests and create/run jobs. If you
choose this option, you must restart the GUI service before you can use it to generate report requests and create/run jobs. You can choose to
shutdown in the following ways:
- Normal - Shut down cleanly, letting all processing finish
- Immediate - Shut down quickly
- Abort - Shut down, stopping whatever is in process
