Services - Scheduler window
Use this window to view information about the Data Manager scheduler service. The scheduler controls the running of
scheduled Data Manager ping and scheduled action jobs.

Administering the Scheduler Service
You can perform a number of administrative actions against the scheduler
service, including viewing its log, configuring tracing, and shutting
it down. To perform actions against the service:
- Expand Services > Data Server in the navigation tree.
- Right-click on a service.
- Select one of the following actions from the pop-up menu to perform against
the service:
- View log - View log for the service. The log is displayed in the content pane.
- Start - Start the service. This option appears when the service is down.
- Configure Tracing - Set tracing options for the scheduler service on the Scheduler Tracing Configuration
window.
- Shutdown - Shut down the processes on the server that receive requests from the scheduler. If you choose this option, you
must restart the scheduler service before the server will resume receiving requests from it. You can choose to shutdown in the following ways:
- Normal - Shut down cleanly, letting all processing finish
- Immediate - Shut down quickly
- Abort - Shut down, stopping whatever is in process
