Services - Server window

Use this window to view information about the Data Manager server service.

Administering the Server Service

You can perform a number of administrative actions against the scheduler service, including viewing its log, configuring tracing, and shutting it down. To perform actions against the service:

  1. Expand Services > Data Server in the navigation tree.
  2. Right-click on Server.
  3. Select one of the following actions from the pop-up menu to perform against the service:

Field Descriptions

Field Name

Description

Server

Displays the name of the server.

Port

Displays the port number on which the server is listening to agents.

Start Time

Displays the date and time when the server was started.

Elapsed Time

Displays the elapsed time when the server was last updated.

VM Size

Displays the disk space allocated to the virtual memory size of the server.

Network Connections

Displays the number of networks to which the server is connected.

Maximum Connections

Displays the maximum number of networks to which the server can connect.

Pending Requests

Displays the number of outstanding requests waiting for server response.

Processed Requests

Displays the number of requests processed by the server.

Database

The following fields display information about the database repository.

JDBC URL

Displays the location of the JDBC file used to connect to the database.

JDBC Driver

Displays the name of the JDBC driver used to connect to the database.

DB Connections

Displays the number of connections to the database.

DB Pool Count

Displays the database pool count.

Agents

The following fields provide information about the status of Data Manager agents.

Total

number of agents that are installed

Online

number of agents that are currently online (communicating with the server)

Offline

number of agents that are currently off-line (not communicating with the server, but were shut down normally)

Unreachable

number of agents that are 1) not communicating with the server, and 2) provided no information to the server that they were shutting down

Upgrading

number of agents that are currently in the process of upgrading to the same version as the server

Upgrade Required

number of agents that must be upgraded to the same version as the server
