The Aperi Storage Manager node within the function tree enables you to perform a number of common tasks across the product. These tasks include:
| Task | Description | Where can I perform this task? |
| View pre-defined reports | View pre-defined reports that are automatically generated for the resources that are being monitored. A number of system reports are available for the Data Manager and Fabric Manager components. | My Reports > System Reports |
| Save and view user-defined reports | Use user ID reports to save report definitions that you create. When you define and save a report definition it is saved under the user name (for example, Dave's Reports) sub node. You can then generate the report without having to select your report criteria again. | My Reports > user ID reports |
| Define and generate batch reports that run on a regularly-scheduled basis | Use batch reporting to run any report on a regularly-scheduled basis. This enables you to conveniently run reports and gather data on a set schedule. | My Reports > Batch Reports |
| Run probes to gather detailed information about your storage assets | Use probes to collect information about computers, storage subsystems, clusters, fabrics, LUNs, disk controllers, tape libraries, hard disks, filesystems, etc. | Monitoring > Probes |
| View the alerts that were triggered by storage events in your environment | Use the alert log to view all the alerts generated by alert jobs. | Monitoring > Alerting |
