Asset Reporting - Overview
Asset reporting enables you to view information about the storage assets in
your environment that is collected when probes are run. While running probes,
the application itemizes the information about your computers, disks, controllers,
agents, and filesystems, and builds a hardware inventory of your storage assets.
You can use the Reporting > Asset node to navigate through a hierarchical
view of your assets by drilling down through agents, computers, controllers,
disks, filesystems, directories, and exports/shares. These reports can be viewed
hierarchically:
- By Cluster - based upon cluster
- By Computer - based upon computer
- By OS Type - based upon operating system type
- By Storage Subsystem - based upon storage subsystem
- System Wide - throughout the system, allowing you to investigate all of your
disks, file systems, controllers, Data Manager agents, and other assets for your entire system.
