Storage Subsystems - LUN to HBA Assignment

Use these reports to view all the LUNs of each probed storage subsystem that has been assigned to at least one host bus adapter (HBA) Port world wide name (WWN).

These reports are available only if the following steps have been performed:
  1. An agent is installed on a machine where a LUN is surfaced.
  2. A probe has been run against the machine where the LUN is located.
  3. A probe has been run against the storage subsystem or SAN Volume Controller cluster.

The four "By clauses" available for these new reports enable you to sort and view the information within these new reports in different ways:

By Clause Description
LUN to HBA Assignment: By Storage Subsystem Shows all the LUNs of each probed storage subsystem that has been assigned to at least one HBA Port WWN. This report is sorted by storage subsystem name.
LUN to HBA Assignment: By Capacity Shows all the LUNs of each probed storage subsystem that has been assigned to at least one HBA Port WWN. This report is sorted by LUN capacity.
LUN to HBA Assignment: With No Data Agent Shows only LUNs that have been assigned to HBA Port WWNs, but there is no Data Manager agent installed on the host machine that has that HBA installed.
LUN to HBA Assignment: With Data Agent But Not Visible Shows only LUNs that have been assigned to a HBA Port WWN where a Data Manager agent is installed on the host machine of the HBA. However, the LUNs are not visible to the operating system. This By Clause is available when a Data Manager agent can get a WWN port match, but the operating system does not show the LUN (via a SCSI inquiry). This By Clause requires that the HBA API is installed on Windows, Solaris, and HP-UX.
