The toolbar

The toolbar appears below the menu bar at the top of the main window and provides one-click access to key commands.

The buttons on the toolbar are described below:

Button

Description

[Back button] Back

Click this button to navigate backward through the active windows in the content pane.

[Forward button] Forward

Click this button to navigate forward through the active windows in the content pane.

[Save button] Save

Click this button to save the current object that you are editing. The object changes are saved to the to the repository.

[Print button] Print

Click this button to print the current data or report chart displayed in the content pane. You can send the output directly to a printer or a PDF file.

[Cancel button] Cancel Edit Session

Click this button to cancel all the changes in the current object edit session.

[Stop button] Stop Current Server Request

Click this button to stop the current server request. This button becomes active when a request is made and the user interface is waiting for a esponse.

During the server request wait time, the cursor arrow in the user interface will appear as an hourglass. If you decide the current request is taking too long or you do not wish to wait any longer, click this button to cancel that request and regain control of the user interface.

[The button for Launching the report viewer in a Web browser] Launch the report viewer in a Web browser Click this buttion to launch the report viewer in an external Web browser. A Web browser appears with the URL: http://localhost:8080/aperi-reports. If prompted, log in again using your Aperi ID and password.
[The button for Launching the report viewer in the Report Viewing perspective] Launch the report viewer in the embedded Report Viewing perspective Click this button to open the Report Viewing perspective and use the report viewer. This perspective is launched within the Aperi user interface and not in an external Web browser. You can use the perspectives button in the toolbar to switch back to the Classic View perspective at any time.
