Switch details

This list shows the details of the selected switch.

Field Descriptions

Field Name

Description

Label

The user-defined name of the switch. You can change the label by typing a new label in the Label field and clicking the Save icon in the menu bar.

Description

The user-specified description of the switch.

State

The state of the switch. The possible states are Normal and Missing.

IP Address

The IP address of this switch.

Vendor ID

The manufacturer of the switch.

Model

The model name or number of the switch.

Version

The version number of the switch.

Serial Number

The serial number of the switch.

Object ID

The vendor's authoritative identification of the network management subsystem contained in the entity.

Management ID

The identifier of the domain controller for a switch.

Management Address

The URL of the element manager for the switch. This URL can be set using the Set Element Manager dialog.

Domain

The 24 bit fibre channel address of the switch.

Contact

The contact information of the switch administrator.

WWN

The world-wide name (WWN) of the switch. A WWN is a unique 64-bit identifier for a host containing a fibre-channel port.

Location

The physical location of the switch.

Physical Switch WWN

The physical WWN of the switch.

User Defined Property

You can add your own properties in these fields.

Sensors Field Descriptions

The Sensors table provides displays sensor information if the switch is capable of providing that information.

Field Name

Description

Type

The type of sensor that is reporting status. Possible values include:

  • Unknown
  • Other
  • Battery
  • Fan
  • Power supply
  • Transmitter
  • Enclosure
  • Board
  • Receiver

Status

The state of the sensor in the Type field.

  • OK
  • Warning
  • Failed

Message

The message for this sensor type as reported by the device.

Events Field Descriptions

The Events table displays switch event information if the switch is capable of providing that information.

ID

The ID for this event as reported by the device.

Time

The time of this event as reported by the device.

Type

The type of event as reported by the device. Possible values include:

  • Unknown
  • Other
  • Status
  • Configuration
  • Topology

Description

The description of this event as reported by the device.

Blades Field Descriptions

The Blades table displays information about switches that have blades installed in them. These are the properties of the physical blades residing in the physical switches.

Description

Slot

The physical slot number that the blade is installed in.

Type

The type of blade installed in the switch.

Status

The status of the blade. Possible values are:

  • Unknown
  • Ok
  • Disabled
  • Ok, but diagnostics failed
  • Boot
  • Self test
  • Failed
  • Missing
  • Mismatch with parent
  • Mismatch with configuration
  • Diagnostics failed
  • Dormant
  • Out of service (Admin)
  • Out of service (Environment temperature)
  • Powered down
  • Powered up
  • Power denied
  • Power cycled

Vendor

The name of the blade vendor.

Model

The blade model number.

Identifier

The serial number of the blade.

Firmware

The firmware version of the blade.
