Applying probes from the command line

Apply a probe from the command line if you need to apply it to an external file that cannot be modified while the workbench is running. To apply a probe from the command line, you must first compile the probe manually.

• Compiling probes for use from the command line
  Before you can apply a new or modified probe from the command line, you must compile it.
• Applying compiled probes from the command line
  After compiling a probe, you can apply it from the command line using the command java ProbeInstrumenter.
