Editing Behavior and Interactions

Once the elements that you want to modify have been added to the Mass Editing view, you can proceed and edit any of the displayed aspects.

Regular Editing

In order to edit a single cell on the Mass Editing view, you need to left click on that cell. Depending on the type of cell and the way that contributors implemented the edit logic, you will be prompted with either a in-line edit mode (meaning that you can enter a new value directly in the selected sell) or a dialog edit mode (meaning that a new dialog will be displayed, containing a wizard that will guide you in selecting a new value). Once the new value is selected press Enter to commit your change.

Mass Editing

In order to mass edit multiple cell you must select all of them and launch an edit command.

Selection

Multiple selection mechanics exist:

Note: all of the selection mechanics can be combined in order to increase your productivity. You can for example select a whole column and then deselect the cells that you want to exclude by using the Ctrl key.

Launch an edit command

Once you have a selection, two ways of launching an edit command currently exist:

Note: You can edit cells belonging to different columns as long as they have the same type, please refer to the above image where an edit operation is performed for cells belong to both visibleInDoc and visibleInLM columns (since all the elements have the same boolean type).
