Using Process to Method Synchronization
Changes to information in method elements can be automatically updated in related
process elements through a mechanism called
Synchronization.
Changing the Synchronization Option
The Synchronized with source
option is selected by default.
To change this behavior do the following:

- Click on the Work Breakdown Structure tab
in the Process Editor.
- Richt-click on a task and select Show Properties View.
- In the Properties view panel, click on the General tab.
- Near the bottom of this panel there is a checkbox labeled
Synchronized with source.
You can check or uncheck this box to enable or disable automatic synchronization.
Note that you can only change the behavior of elements that
are not marked read-only.
Custom Synchronization
Custom synchronization at the activity level will synchronize the activity descriptors
by bringing in task descriptor's associations.

- Right click on any activity that has descriptors and select Custom synchronization.
This will invoke the Synchronization Wizard.
- Use the wizard to select a configuration, responsible roles and work products.
Synchronization based on the options you select.
For example, if you select only mandatory o/p work product,
then in task descriptor's properties view, you should see only o/p workproduct
and not i/p and optional work products.
- Click Finish to exit the wizard.
Default Synchronization
Default synchronization at the activity level will synchronize activities
by bringing in task descriptor's associations.

- Right click on any activity that has descriptors and select Default synchronization.
This will bring in all the default associations of task descriptors.
- Click Finish to exit the wizard.
