Search for Method Content
- There are three ways to begin your search for method content.
- Select Search > Search
- Search > File
- Click the Search button
in the tool bar.
The Search dialog window opens.
- Click either the File Search tab or the Method Search tab
and then set your criteria. Using the File Search tab, you can search
for content by the file name of the content. Using the Method Search tab,
you can search the method content itself.
- Using File Search: Type a text string to search for within the
files (optional), or type a file name pattern to use for matching file names.
You must use a pattern. Use * if you want to search for the text in all files.
Leave all other options as default.
- Using Method Search: Type a text string to search for within the
files (optional), or type a name pattern for matching element names and presentation
names. You must use a pattern. Use * if you want to search for text in all
files. In the Scope section, you can restrict your search to a subset of element
types.
- Click Search. The Search View opens with your search results.
- In the Search View, you can drill down into the search results
and double-click an element to open the editor for the selected element. If
you have Link with Editor selected in the library view, the library view display
changes to show you where the selected element is in the library.
