Adding a content package to ClearCase

This procedure applies only to environments where method libraries are version-controlled by Rational© ClearCase.
  1. Make sure you are in Authoring perspective. authoring perspective button
  2. In the Library view panel, right-click on Content Packages in the plug-in you are working on and select New > Content Package. You will prompted to check-out resources.
  3. Select plugin.xmi and click Apply. The New Content Package editor panel will appear.
  4. Enter relevant information for the new content package, then use File > Save.
  5. Right-click on the new content package and choose Show in resource navigator.
  6. In the Resource Navigator view panel, right-click on the library folder and select Team.
    • If you are using ClearCase, select Find Checkouts.
    • If you are using CCRC, select ClearCase search. Search for checked-out resources.
  7. Check-in all files which have been changed.
    • If you are using CCRC, a list of checked-out files should have been generated by the previous step. Select all checked-out elements. Right-click on one of the elements, and use Basic > Check-in.
