The TDD whitepaper describes the TDD lifecycle as illustrated in this diagram:

Note: This article describes Test Driven Design, so we may want to reference an article that only descirbes implementation - this practice does not address design. Also, we need to add refactoring to this image. The reference to the whitepaper should probably be changed in the final version to be a shippable whitepaper that includes refactoring.
