The daily meeting is the ideal moment to detect problems a team may be struggling with. It can even allow to immediately solve through the team collaboration. However:

• Urgent problems can show up in between 2 daily scrums
• and above all, problem solving is not perform during the meeting (unless solution is trivial)

Following up on a problem reporting, for instance during a daily scrum, cause and impacts on the project must be identified. A best practice is a informal chat initiated by the Scrum Master, with the problem reporter.

A meeting with managers is scheduled if problems with the project can't be easily solved or need a management decision.

The Scrum Master must try to solve problems as soon as possible, in order not to disturb team's progress.
