Viewing the Apache Server access.log file
- Click on the Profiling Monitor tab from the Profiling Perspective.
- Expand the Default Monitor tree view.
- Expand the hostname (your localhost name) tree view.
- Click on the child element. This element should be the access.log. The name of the element should be the location of the access log file
- From the pop-up menu of the selected element, select Show view > Log View.
- You can then click on any log records from the Log View and view the value of its properties.
Viewing the Apache error.log file
- Click on the Profiling Monitor tab from the Profiling Perspective.
- Expand the Default Monitor tree view.
- Expand the hostname (your localhost name) tree view.
- Click on the child element. This element should be the error.log. The name of the element should be the location of the error log file
- From the pop-up menu of the selected element, select Show view > Log View.
- You can then click on any log records from the Log View and view the value of its properties.
Displaying the Apache Log Interactions view
- Click on your hostname in the Profiling
Monitor view.
- Select the Sequence Diagram View
Performing a Time Base correlation on the Apache Log files
- Click on your hostname in the Profiling
Monitor view.
- From the pop-up menu of the hostname, select Open With > Log
Interactions.
- Select the Correlation Schema Default Time Correlator.
- Click OK.
- In the Sequence Diagram view, you can scroll up and down to see the
interactions between the two logs.
- Double-click on a square (log record) to get detailed information about
the selected log record.
Analyzing the Apache error log records
- Select the error log file element within the Profiling Monitor.
- Now in the log view select an error log record.
- From the pop-up menu of a log record, select Analyze All. Log
records associated with a symptom match will be indicated by a filled, blue
square in the background.
- Click on the Analysis results tab in the Log View to view the
recommendation to fix the problem.
- You can scroll up and down on the Log Records window to see the next
analyzed log record, which is indicated by a filled, blue square in the
background.
