Viewing log interactions

Log interaction diagrams display interactions among log events (records) that occur during the execution of an application.  To view interactions between logs, follow these steps:

  1. Select one or more log agents in the Log Navigator view.
  2. Right click, then select Open With > Log interactions. The Select Log Records Correlation Schema dialog box opens.  Click OK to associate log records by timestamp. The Sequence Diagram Log interactions view opens.
  3. To identify an event, hover the cursor over it.
  4. To search, zoom in, zoom out, or return to the original scale, use these controls:

  5. To see a graphical overview of the entire timeline, click Overview.

As an alternative, you can do the following:

  1. Select one or more log agents in the Log Navigator view.
  2. Create a new log correlation.
  3. Select the newly created correlation.
  4. Right-click, then select Open With > Log interactions. The Sequence Diagram Log interactions view opens.
