Working with log sets

Log sets allow you to easily make repeated imports of  log files. A default log set is created when the import wizard is launched for the first time. By default all the imported log files are persisted into the Default Log Set, allowing you to quickly reimport them. When relaunching the Import Log wizard,  the logs contained in the Default Log Set are loaded into the log list of the wizard.

You can create a new log set by clicking New Log Set.

When a new log set is created, the previous log set is saved in memory and the new log set becomes the current working log set. A log set is persisted only if the wizard is closed by clicking Finish. You can also add, edit or remove log files from the current log set.

You can open a persisted log set by clicking Open Log Set. A list of persisted log sets is displayed and the selected log set becomes the current working log set.

The Edit Log Sets button allows you to edit the list of available log sets, for example, renaming or removing a log set.

When the current working set is removed the next log set in the list of available log sets becomes the current one. If no log set exists, a default log set is created. Once a log set is removed, any information contained in that log set is cleared.
