The Generic Log
Adaptor editor enables you to write rules for mapping your
log file content to the common base event format.
The following figure shows an adaptor file viewed through the editor. The editor provides two panes:
- The Generic Adaptor Navigator pane, on the left, displays a tree viewer
that maps to the adaptor file content. Use the pop-up actions on this pane
to create and update the adaptor content. In this figure, the topmost node in
the tree shows the adaptor root element, which contains contexts and
configuration artifacts. Below the topmost node are the context instances.
- The right pane provides information on the elements that you have selected.
In this figure, the CommonBaseEvent event is selected.
