Correlating log files
To correlate one or more log files, follow these steps:
- Select one or more log agents in the Log Navigator view.
- Right click and select New > Log Correlation > Profiling and Logging
> Log Correlation. The New Log Correlation wizard opens.

- Type in the name of the correlation (for convenience a default name is
already provided).
- Select the log files to correlate by using the arrow buttons. By default, the log files selected in the log
navigator are used to populate the list of log files to correlate.
- Click Next.

- Select the correlation method from the Correlation Schemas list.
Click Finish. A new correlation will be created and displayed in the Log
Navigator under the Correlations folder.
Other alternatives are available to open the New Log Correlation Wizard.
- Alternative A
- Select one or more log agents in the Log Navigator view.
- Click on the
New Correlation button. The New Log Correlation wizard opens.
- Alternative B
- In the Log Navigator view, right click on the Correlations folder.
- Select New >Log Correlation. The New Log Correlation
wizard opens.
