Profiling Tool

The Profiling Tool consists of the Profiling and Logging Perspective and a number of views.  It enables you to profile your applications, to work with profiling resources, to interact with the applications you are profiling, and to examine your applications for performance and memory usage problems.

  Analyze the data collected from profiling a Java process, using the Profiling and Logging views of the Profiling and Logging perspective.

  The Profiling Tool offers powerful visualization features that enable you to pinpoint performance and memory usage problems within your applications. You can profile various types of applications, including Java and Web applications, regardless of what application server you are running on.
• Profiling an application stand-alone
  You can profile an application in stand-alone mode (that is, from the command line), without having the Hyades tools installed.
