Exporting a log or correlation to a CBE XML file

Once a log file has been imported, it can be exported as a Common Base Events (CBE) XML file. Likewise, correlations can be exported as CBE XML files.

To export a log or a correlation to a CBE XML file:

1. Select the log or correlation so that it appears in the Log view.
2. Click the Export records to XML file button in the toolbar.
3. Specify a file location and name, or click Browse to find the desired location.
4. Click OK.

All the records showing in the Log view will be exported to the specified file, following the CBE DTD. This file can now be imported by someone else into their Log and Trace Analyzer. This is an effective way of sharing logs and correlations without forcing other people to recreate what you have in your session.
