IMP Downloads Page

The following is a set of downloadable update site archives. The contents of each one is a subset of the IMP update site, but has everything you should need to install IMP.

NEW 20 Aug 2010: New IMP release This release contains a number of bug fixes to the IMP Runtime made over the last few months.

NEW 08 Apr 2010: New IMP release This release contains a significant performance fix for the source editor when there are many error annotations. It also contains a fix for preference initialization that could (rarely) deadlock Eclipse on startup. Font-/tab-related preferences now also work again. This release also adds a "New Breakpoint Handler" wizard, as well as improvements to the content assist in the prefspecs editor.

NEW 24 Mar 2010: LPG-related install problem fixed The latest IMP release (v201003241901) fixes an install problem introduced by the renaming of the LPG runtime bundle.

NEW 16 Mar 2010: Source bundles now working! IMP releases starting with v201003152144 contain working source bundles; previously, the source bundles claimed to belong to the wrong binary bundles. As a result, if you've installed the IMP source features, you should be able to, e.g., hyperlink to the source code for IMP runtime classes from IMP-based IDE classes in your workspace.

14 Mar 2010: Install issues fixed! IMP releases starting with v201003141548 fix an install problem that was introduced when our release mechanism started incorporating build qualifiers (0.1.v201001291500). The problem manifested as an intermittent install failure, usually citing a missing org.eclipse.imp.doc bundle.
The problem was caused by automatically-generated source bundles that erroneously used the same bundle manifest as the binary bundle, which caused p2 some heartache.

Note: As of version 0.1.103, the distribution includes source features for all of IMP. If you install them, the debugger should be able to locate the source for the various IMP components.

Feb 2010: IMP releases after 0.1.105 incorporate a "build qualifier" (a date/timestamp) into the version number. This makes it easier for us to ensure that each distinct build will install/update cleanly over previous builds, without our having to manually tweak version numbers.

Feb 2010: Update site archives for versions after 0.1.105 contain everything needed to install IMP, including all prerequisites. Previously, archives didn't include the SDF+Box feature, which had to be downloaded separately.
