Prerequisites

MTJ is delivered as an Eclipse plug-in. For MTJ to function properly, there are the following prerequisites for both hardware and software of your computer:

Hardware requirements

• processor speed
• RAM memory
• free memory space minimum

Software requirements

For MTJ, you need Windows 2000 or XP and the following 3rd party downloads installed on your computer before the MTJ installation:

• Eclipse 3.2 or other products built on top of Eclipse 3.2
  The Eclipse SDK version 3.2 is available at .
• Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.5.0 or greater
  You can download JRE from following addresses:
• http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html (for SUN)
• http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/ (for IBM JRE)
• http://www-306.ibm.com/software/wireless/wctme_fam/index.html (for IBM J9)
• Eclipse Modeling framework (EMF) version 2.2.x
  EMF is an Eclipse project that provides a Java-based framework and code generation facility for building tools and other applications based on a structured model. You can get EMF from the Eclipse Foundation at: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/emf/scripts/downloads.php.
• Signing tool:
• IBM Jadsigner
• SUN WTK
• Nokia PC suite 6.8 as the deployment tool to mobile devices
