Selecting and configuring providers
The different providers are configured in Eclipse's Preferences. This
includes the MTJ-specific providers. MTJ has its own section in the Preferences.
MTJ preferences consist of the following sections:
- MTJ
This section lists the frameworks and providers for the MTJ plug-in.
These are the general MTJ plug-ins that are provided with the MTJ release.
- Deploy
These are the tools that MTJ uses to deploy the applications to mobile
devices.
- Device Platform
This section lists the mobile SDKs that have been configured to MTJ
as device platforms. You can add or remove SDKs here.
- Runtime Platform
This section lists the mobile runtimes, in other words the emulators
and the actual phone runtimes and translation environments that you have
configured to MTJ. You can add, remove and edit the mobile runtimes
here.
- Security
This section lists MTJ's available Security Managers, the key tools.
These are the key tools that handle the keys and certificates. Only one
key tool can be active at a time. Here you can configure the tool locations.
- Signing
This section lists MTJ's available signing tools. Only one signer can
be available at a time. Here you can configure the tool locations.
You can access the MTJ preferences by selecting from the menu bar Window -> Preferences -> MTJ.
Note: MTJ does not include other providers
besides the general MTJ frameworks and providers. For deployment tools
and mobile SDKs, refer to the companies that provide them. For example,
if you plan to create applications for Nokia, refer to their website for
the SDKs and deployment tools. For key tools and signers, refer to Managing security.
