Selecting and configuring providers
MTJ is based on frameworks and providers. The different MTJ-specific
providers are configured in Eclipse's Preferences. MTJ has its own section
in the Preferences. MTJ preferences consist of the following sections:
- MTJ
This section lists the frameworks and main providers within MTJ. These
frameworks and main providers are provided with the MTJ release.
- Deploy
These are the tools that MTJ uses to deploy the applications to mobile
devices.
- Device Platform
This section lists the mobile SDKs that have been configured to MTJ
as device platforms. You can add or remove SDKs and get information about
the installed SDKs here.
- Runtime Platform
This section lists the mobile runtimes, in other words the emulators
and the actual phone runtimes that
you have configured to MTJ. You can add, remove and edit the mobile
runtimes here.
- Security
This section lists the
key tools available for MTJ. These are the key tools that handle the keys
and certificates. Only one key tool can be active at a time. Here you
can configure the tool locations.
- Signing
This section lists the signing tools available for MTJ. Only one signing
tool can be available at a time. Here you can configure the tool locations.
You can access the MTJ preferences by selecting from the menu bar Window -> Preferences -> MTJ.
Note: MTJ does not deliver other software
besides the general MTJ frameworks and providers. Vendors and software
companies may provide additional frameworks for MTJ. For deployment tools
and mobile SDKs, refer to the companies that provide them. For example,
if you plan to create applications for Nokia, refer to their website for
the SDKs and deployment tools. For key tools and signers, refer to Managing security.
