User Group Management

You can create a user group and assign several users to it. These can be used as conditional performers during runtime. Please refer to the chapter Modeling the Organizational Structure of the Stardust Online Documentation - Modeling Guide section Creating and Deleting Conditional Performers of the chapter Modeling the Organizational Structure for information on how to use a conditional performer for user groups.

The User Group Management provides all available information about user groups, and the possibility to create new user groups or to modify existing user groups in the Stardust runtime environment. The view offers:

User Groups Count Section

This section displays how many user groups are active and their total number.

The All User Groups table provides the following information about all user groups:

Column Selection and Reordering

You have the option to select the columns to be displayed in the table and reorder them. Click the Select Columns icon to open the Select Columns dialog, which is described in detail in the section Column Selection and Reordering of the chapter Stardust Portal Components.

Exporting Table Content

The data in the table may be exported to an Excel or CSV file. To export to a file, click to export to Excel or to export to a CSV file.

Sorting

The table may be sorted by any sortable column by clicking the sort icon in the column header. The table data can be toggled between ascending and descending order when the sort icon is clicked.

Creating a new User Group

To create a new user group, select the Create User Group button above the user group table.

A dialog will pop up, where you can fill in the details of the user group like ID, name, validation range and comments. The fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.

Modifying a User Group

You can modify the properties of a user group by clicking on its Name entry.

The upcoming dialog has the same functionality as described in section Creating a new User Group.

Invalidating User Groups

You can invalidate user groups by selecting them in the user group management table and clicking the Invalidate User Group icon above the table.

A dialog opens to notify if the invalidation of the user group(s) was successful or to notify in case of a failure. A table displays the name of the user group along with the invalidating status.
