Activity tables in the Stardust portal display available information
on activities in the Stardust runtime environment.

In the toolbar for activities selected in the table, the following actions are available depending on the view the activity table is displayed in.
Selecting one or more activity(ies) in the table is done by clicking directly on the according row(s). For details on selecting rows in tables, refer to section Table Row Selection of chapter Stardust Portal Components. Note that when you select more that one row, and if one of the selected row is of default case activity then the following message gets displayed.

You need to deselect the row of default case activity to continue with any operation. You cannot perform any operation on default case activity. Following operations are not allowed on a default case activity instance:
Activity state change is initiated internally only.
Please note that the case activities do not appear in assembly line mode.
You have the option to select the columns to be displayed in
the table and reorder them. Click the Select Columns
icon
to open
the Select Columns dialog, which is described
in detail in the section Column Selection and Reordering
of the chapter Stardust Portal Components.
The column selection preferences set for an activity table applies to all newly opened activity views except the Process Search view. The Process Search view Activities table has its independent column selection.

The data in the table may be exported to an Excel or CSV file. To export
to a file, click
to export to Excel or
to export to a CSV file.

To delegate the selected activities to the default performer, click the Delegate to Default Performer icon. If activities remain after performing this action, click the Delegate icon and assign them to a currently active user or other participant. For default case activities, the Delegate to Default Performer icon is disabled.

Please refer to the section Delegate to Default Performer of the column actions sections for more details.
If you select more than one rows and the selected rows contain activities and default case activities to be delegated to default performer, then the following error message is displayed.

In case you have the permission to delegate the selected activities to other users, the Delegate icon in the toolbar is enabled. Please refer to the chapter Authorization in the Stardust Online Documentation - Modeling Guide Authorization of the Modeling Guide for detailed information on this permission.
To delegate the selected activities, click the Delegate button. This will open the Delegation Dialog, where you can choose the user(s) or role(s) you want to delegate the activity to.

If the following requirements are fulfilled, the abort button is enabled in the toolbar:
To abort activities, select them in the Select part
and click the abort icon
on top of the
Activities table.

Per default, when starting an abort action, a dialog opens to ask whether you like to abort the current activity only or entire (Root) process:

Click Cancel in case you like to cancel the abort.
Note
Out data mappings of aborted activity instances will not be evaluated.
The following activity instances using In data mappings from those data
have to be aware that the data values may not be initialized or can
contain incorrect data.
Note that the default case activity cannot be aborted using the Abort Process and Abort Process and Start option. The following error is displayed.

In case you want to abort an existing activity instance and start another, click the down-arrow icon displayed next to the Abort Process icon and select Abort Process and Start option from the toolbar. Please refer to the chapter The Abort Process and Start Dialog for detail information.

To abort multiple activities, press Ctrl and select the processes. Then, click the down-arrow icon displayed next to the Abort Process icon and select the Abort Process and Start option from the Toolbar. Please refer to the chapter The Abort Process and Start Dialog for detail information.
Click the down-arrow icon and select Abort Process and Join option. It allows you to abort the current process and join it to another process.

Note that, in case you have administrator rights, you can configure a default abort activity setting and the dialog only ask for abort confirmation. Refer to section Abort Activity of chapter Portal Configuration for details on how to configure predefined abort settings.
In that case the following dialogs open depending on your configuration:

After closing the abort settings dialog, a notification dialog opens with a list of successfully aborting activity(ies) or to notify in case of a failure.

In case you do not have the permission to abort the according activity
as described in section Abort,
a notification dialog opens to inform that you are not
authorized to abort this activity. The abort action is not performed.

In case you have the permission to modify activity instances, you can change the priorities for process instances. Please refer to the section Authorization for Activities of the chapter Authorization in the Stardust Online Documentation - Developer Modeling Guide Authorization for Activities of the chapter Authorization in the Developer Guide for detailed information on setting security permission for modifying activity instances.
In case you have the permission to modify, the entries for the priorities provide a drop-down list with the predefined priorities High, Normal and Low. To modify the priority, click the arrow on the right side of the priority and select one of the provided priorities.

To save the changed priorities, select the Save Priority Changes icon above the activities table, as shown in the following screenshot:

You get a confirmation dialog notifying you about the successfully performed priority changes, listing all concerned activity instances with their changed priority status.

In case priority changes fail for some reason, this will be notified in this dialog as well.
It is also possible to select more than one activity, the actions invoked in the toolbar will then be applied to all activities.
Activity tables display details about activity instances and provides actions on those.
The following details are available depending on the view, where the table is opened:
Some columns are displayed by default, some additional columns can be added via the Select Column filter, described in the section Column Selection and Reordering.
The table may be sorted by any sortable column by clicking the sort icon
in the column header. The table data can be toggled
between ascending and descending order when the sort icon is clicked.
Please refer to the section Sorting of the chapter Stardust Portal Components for detailed information.
If the
is available for a column,
you can set a filter on this column.
Select the filter icon
to open the filter dialog, as
described in section Filtering of
the chapter Stardust Portal Components.
A special case is the <descriptors> columns. Worklists can be sorted and filtered on descriptors, if they either contain only activity instances from one process definition or process definitions with descriptors based on the same data. Please note that these columns cannot be sorted or filtered on descriptor values, in case the descriptor for all listed process definitions or activities pertaining to process instances is based on different data or attributes.
To view the details about an activity and its according process instance, click on the activity name.

This column displays the criticality category of the activity instance as icon. By default, criticality is of three types and it is indicated in colored flags:



To view the criticality value, move the mouse over the criticality flag in the Criticality column. The criticality category and value get displayed as tooltip text for the selected criticality.

Clicking on the Process Details icon invokes the Process Details View.

To activate an activity, click the Activate icon in the Actions column, as shown in the following screenshot:

Select the Delegate to Default performer icon to delegate the activity to the default performer.

For default case activities, the Delegate to Default Performer icon is disabled.
A confirmation dialog opens to confirm the delegation.

If you select more than one rows and the selected rows contain activities and default case activities to be delegated to default performer, then the following error message is displayed.

The Delegation Dialog opens, where you can choose a user. Please refer to the chapter Delegation Dialog for detailed information on delegation.
