Selecting a Perspective
Perspectives can be selected in the Perspectives menu item in the
menu of the navigation pane.
When logging into the Stardust Portal, it opens with the default perspective,
the Workflow Execution Perspective. To switch to another perspective, click on the perspective entry on
the upper left side.

Please note that the Administration Perspective is only
available for selection if the logged-in user has administration rights.
Perspectives
The following perspectives are provided:
Administration Perspective
The Administration Perspective provides a set of views
displaying comprehensive or selective information on
resources logging in and out of the system, processes being executed,
activities being performed, user accounts of workflow participants and
running daemons. Note that this perspective is only available for users
having administrator rights.

Business Control Center Perspective
The Business Control Center Perspective provides a business management
portal, which offers the
possibility for:
- obtaining workload and performance of resources(see chapter
Viewing Resources for details)
- adjusting priorities of activities and processes (see chapters
Modifying Activity Priorities and
Modifying Process Priorities respectively for details)
- retrieving information about hibernated or postponed activities (see specific chapters in section
Monitoring Activities for details)
- optimizing workload according to business status (workload management)
- assigning users to roles in which work load is extraordinary high
- releasing users from roles where work can be handled with less people
- changing standard priorities of processes

- retrieving information about cumulated business status
- retrieving information about dedicated process instances or activity instances, e.g.:
- for a specific process/activity instance, if an employee has questions/concerns
- for a specific customer
- for a specific user or group of users

- delegating activity instances (see chapter

- single activity instances due to priority or complexity
- list of activity instances due to a non-present user

Business Process Modeling Perspective
The Business Process Modeling Perspective
provides a Web-based modeling platform for analysts to create business process flow.

Workflow Execution Perspective
The Workflow Execution Perspective is a fully-functional application for
executing interactive process activities. It allows you to:
- display activities assigned to the logged-in user via various worklists

- organize process documents (for details refer to chapter
Organizing Process Documents
- search for specific documents (for details refer to chapter
Searching for Documents
- perform single process activities modeled e.g. as JSF layouts or manual activities
- perform administrative activities, such as process monitoring

Using Launch Panels provides an overview on available functionality in the Workflow Perspective launch panel.
Showing and Hiding the Navigation
You can show or hide the navigation pane. To show the menu,
click Navigation on the left side of the window.
