To specify how the data is represented, use the Layout tab. Record Set or Series Group.
Selecting either the Simple Report for Series Groups or Table for Record Sets or Composite Report radio buttons updates the Layout tab with options to support creating the report layout.
Series groups can be presented in a Simple Report consisting of a single chart or table.
For a simple chart layout, first enter a Report Title for the report. This title appears in the header for the chart. Select Chart and Chart Type from the Layout Type drop-down list.

In case you have selected Chart as Layout Type, a drop-down list is provided to select the chart type. The charts offered in the list depend on the types of fact and dimensions you have selected. Pie charts are only offered for discrete dimensions.

Supported chart types are the following:
Except for the candlestick the charts are supported for all series group. The candle stick chart is supported for non-count settings only.
The XY Plot plots a line for the specified data. It is displayed in an x-axis and y-axis dimension, where each group is represented in a different line.

The Bar Chart is also displayed in an x-axis and y-axis dimension. Here, each group is represented as different bar.
The following example shows a bar chart for a descriptor OrderedItem and Count grouped by a descriptor describing a specific country.

You can also display bar charts in stack series by selecting the Stack Series option in the Layout tab.

The Candlestick chart, which is also displayed in an x-axis and y-axis dimension, represents each group as a different stick.

The Pie Chart is displayed as pie with pie slices. Each group is displayed in a different pie slice.
The following example represents a pie chart with fact Process Instance Duration and dimension with numeric data.

The Donut Chart is displayed as donut with donut segments. Each group is displayed as a ring in the donut chart.
The following example represents a donut chart with fact Process Instance Duration and dimension with numeric data.

The Layout option section updates based on the selected chart type.
To show the cursor as cross when moving over the plot, enable the Show Cursor option.

To display a tooltip showing the cursor position, select the Tooltip option. This option is not available for Donut or Pie chart types.

Select the Zoom option in case you like to enable the zooming functionality for your chart. To zoom the chart, click-and-drag on the plot. Note that in case the Show Cursor option is de-selected, the Zoom option is disabled as it requires the cursor. The Zoom option is not available for Donut or Pie chart types.

You can set a highlighter to highlight data points when they are moused over. To enable this option select Show Highlighter.

Additionally a tooltip provides information about the data point.

You can determine if a legend should be displayed with the chart. Disable or enable the Show Legend option accordingly.

If enabled, a chart legend with colors representing the according chart data values, is displayed at the selected legend location.

Per default, the legend position is East. You can change it by
selecting another value in the Legend Position drop-down list.

The Show Animation option allows the bars to be animated bottom to top and the line series left to right upon initial page load. This option is not available for Donut or Pie chart types.

For Bar charts, an additional option is provided to enable series stacking.

If this option is enabled, the groupings are stacked on top of each other instead of displaying side-by-side. Note that this option only has an effect if the report data is grouped. See section Bar chart for an example.
Wherever applicable for a chart type, X and Y axis settings can be configured in the X-Axis and Y-Axis section fields.

The following table gives an overview on the available layout options for the x- and y-axis plot:

For a simple table layout, first enter a Report Title for the report, which will appear in the header for the table and select Table from the Layout Type drop-down list. The Layout tab updates accordingly.

The Display Dimension as option allows to specify whether the dimension should display as a row or column.
The Display Totals checkbox determines if a Total row should be appended to the bottom of the table that sums/adds the columns.
The following example shows a table layout with product items as dimension grouped by a descriptor of an Enumeration type with country values.

The table columns can be sorted according to the type of the entries by clicking the up and down arrows in the column header.
In the Show ... entries field select the number of columns that should be displayed per page.

Paging is provided below the table to navigate between the pages.

In the Search field you can enter a value which should be contained in the displayed rows of the table. In the following table, all rows containing the value "USA" are displayed in the table.

You have the option to export the report for viewing outside Stardust as CSV or Excel file. Click the CSV or Excel button above the table accordingly.

Select the location of the CSV or Excel file in the file dialog accordingly. Now you can view your report in the selected format, e.g. as Excel file:

In case the Data Set > Fact is not equal
to Count, an Available Cumulants and
Selected Cumulants control is available.

In the Display Cumulant(s) as drop-down list you can determine if the cumulant(s) should be displayed as rows or columns. This selection determines the orientation of your table data.
Note that in case the data set is grouped, these groups will appear on the
opposite axis as the Display Cumulant(s) as selection. For
example, if your data is grouped by Process Name, the
process names in your data set will appear as the table columns when
Display Cumulant(s) as is selected as Rows.
If the cumulation is displayed in columns, these attributes will display as sub-columns. Similarly, when the cumulation is displayed in rows they display as sub-rows.
You can re-order the attributes by using the up- and down arrows on the right side.
To set up the Record sets report to display in a single table, select the Table radio button on the Layout tab.
