Viewing Resource Availability

The Resource Availability view lists all roles, the entries (activity instances) assigned to this role and the users assigned to the role (logged-in and total). This view can be accessed via the Business Control Center perspective launch panel.

It is split in two views, the role view Roles and Organizations and the user view User.

Roles and Organizations

The Roles and Organizations section lists the following details about the role or organization:

• Name: name of the role or organization. In case the role or organization is scoped, also the organization name and the department name is displayed. Please refer to section Scoped Roles for details.
• Items: number of activities.
• User: number of logged-in users (total number of assigned users).
• Items per User: number of items per user.

Click on the role to get detailed information in the Role Manager Details View. For details on this view refer to chapter Viewing and changing User Assignment to a Role.

Scoped Roles

In case the table entry is a scoped role or department, the according entry in the Name column is displayed in the following way:
Role Name (department.[parent department.[..]])
Organization Name (department.[parent department.[..]])

Default departments are marked with a ? following the organization or role name.

User

The User section shows a table with the following entries:

• Name: name of the user.
• Count of Roles: number of roles assigned to this user. In case the role is scoped, the counter increments for each department. Please refer to the section Scoped Roles for information on scoped roles displayed in the Resource Availability view.
• Count of Direct Items: number of activities directly assigned to the role or organization.
• Count of Indirect Items: number of activities resulting from the assigned roles.
• Total Item Count: total number of activities.
• Logged In: flag if this user is logged in currently.

To view these details, you need to have the permission to read user data.
