Managing Documents

Document management like viewing, uploading, downloading and searching is supported in the Stardust Mobile Interface. Images taken using the mobile device camera can be uploaded and attached to workflow processes.

Viewing and Managing Documents in the Documents Page

The Documents Page lists the documents in the user's My Documents folder and in the Common Documents folder.

You can access this page from the Launch Page by tapping Documents.

The Root folder opens as top level folder containing the Common Documents and the My Documents folders.

You can create, delete, rename and upload documents. Note that deleting and renaming is not possible in top level folders.

To open a sub-folder, tap the open folder icon displayed as arrow on the right side of the folder entry, or simple tap the entry itself.

Common Documents

Predefined sub-folders in the Common Documents folder are for correspondence templates and stamps.

My Documents

The My Documents folder contains user-specific documents. Documents in this folder are related to the logged-in user.

Reports

In case you have report definitions saved as personal report definition, these appear in the Private Reports sub-folder of the My Documents folder.

Report definitions you have saved as public report definitions reside in the Public Reports sub-folder accordingly.

Uploading Documents

To upload a document you have the option to choose an existing document or to take a photo or video with your mobile.

Viewing and Editing Documents Content

Tapping a document in the list opens it in the Document Viewer, which provides access to the standard document information for the document (e.g., create date) and renders the document content. Note that for the time being only image documents are supported for viewing, including the following types:

Non-image files can be downloaded to the mobile device and opened in an external application.

Viewing Document Details

Tapping the Information tab displays details about the document, like file type, file size, author, creation and modification time.

Unsupported File Type

The Content tab has a download button to allow opening unsupported files in an external application. The Information/Details tab contain the same information as for supported file types.
