To open the calendar view, click on the calendar displayed under Time-off calendar or Processing Calendars options.

The calendar view supports:

Figure: Calendar View - By Week
By default, calendar opens in the Month view.
Color coded event markers provide an overview of the existing events in the calendar view. Event markers indicate the following:

Clicking an event marker displays that events properties. If the event is not from a subscribed calendar, clicking an event marker displays the Event property dialog which supports updating its properties.
If the event is from a subscribed calendar, clicking an event marker displays read-only event properties.
You can drag and drop the events in the calendar. Moving the event changes the start date. Note that only events defined in the in-scope calendar can be moved.
To move the event, drag the event marker from its current time to the desired start date.
Time off calendars define holidays and other blocks of time at which process instances are not triggered from general processing calendars.

The event gets added in the calendar for the specified time period.

To modify a time-off event, perform the following steps:
Figure: Modify Time-off Event
Note that the events can be modified only from the calendar in which they are defined.
To delete a time-off event, open the event and click Delete. Note that the events can be deleted only from the Calendar in which they are defined.
Allows you to set the pattern and range of recurrence for the Event. For recurring events, the No End Date option is selected, by default. Editing and deleting individual instances of recurring events is not supported.
You can edit recurring event from any date of the specified date range. When the user clicks on any of the date of the specified date range, currently the start date is displayed as the start date of the instance the user has clicked on and not the series. The following message is displayed at the top the of dialog box:

You can delete the recurring event from any date of the specified date range.
Processing Calendars and Time-off Calendars can subscribe to Time-off calendars so that events defined in the Subscribed Calendars are included in the Parent Calendars.
Nesting "n" levels deep is supported. That is Calendar A can import Calendar B, and Calendar B in turn imports another Calendar C. However, circular references are not allowed.
To subscribe a calendar, perform the following steps:
Figure:Expand Subscribed Time-off Calendars
Figure: Subscribed Time-off Calendars
The subscribed event gets displayed in the calendar.
Figure: Subscribed Time-off Calendar Events
In case of updates in the subscribed calendar, the parent calendar reflects these updates. Subscribed events are read-only events and you cannot edit or delete them from the parent calendar. Similarly, subscribed events cannot be dragged and dropped. Note that the Start Time is shown as 12AM and End Time as 11.59PM for All Day event when subscribed in other calendar.
To unsubscribe the time-off calendar, expand the Subscribed Time-off Calendar box and deselect the calendar that you want to unsubscribe. If you have subscribed more than one event, then to deselect them, press Control and select events.
Figure: Unsubscribed Time-off Calendar
The subscribed time-off events are read-only events. Clicking the subscribed event marker in the calendar displays the read-only properties of the event. If the event is recurring:
The subscribed icon
is displayed in the corner of the dialog box
to indicate that it is read-only.
The recurring event icon
is also displayed in the corner of the dialog box.
Processing calendars support scheduling general process start events and business object dependent process start events. Note that processing calendars cannot be added manually.
The general process start calendar provides a central point for scheduling processing events that are not dependent upon business objects. The events defined in this calendar simply trigger one process instance per process start event. Note that events can only trigger process definitions with a manual trigger. Note that the General Process Start Calendar is provided by default, and cannot be deleted or renamed.
Note: General Process start event shows all startable processes created in Eclipse based modeler, Web-based modeler or Simple modeler.
You can add, modify and delete the general process start event.
To add a general process start calendar event, perform the following steps:

To modify a general process start event, perform the following steps:
Note that the events can be modified only from the Calendar in which they are defined.
To delete a general process start event, open the event and click Delete. Note that the events can be deleted only from the Calendar in which they are defined.
The Business object instance process start calendars provide a calendar for each business object instance. Calendars are added and deleted dynamically as new business object instances are added and deleted. These calendars are provided for scheduling events that trigger process instances and apply business object instance data to the process instance. Business Object Instance based calendar shows processes only from simple modeler related to selected business object instance. They can also spawn multiple process instances - one for each related business object instance. For details on Business Objects, please refer to chapter Business Objects Business Objects of the Stardust Concepts. Concepts in the Online Documentation.
Each Event defined in these calendars can trigger either:
Events can only trigger process definitions created in the Model & Go! perspective and marked for business calendar start.
Note: To work with Business Object Dependent Calendars, you need to create a model with business object for a structured data and deploy the same model in the Modeling perspective. In the Control Center, you should create instances of that business object. Then, in the Model & Go! perspective, using the same business object, a process should be deployed.
To add a business object instance process start event, perform the following steps:
Figure:New Event
To modify a business object instance process start event, perform the following steps:
Note that the events can be modified only from the Calendar in which they are defined.
To delete a business object instance process start event, open the event and click Delete. Note that the events can be deleted only from the calendar in which they are defined.
Note: You need to start the Business Calendar daemon before scheduling any process start from the Calendar perspective. For more information, please refer to the section Business Calendar Daemon of the Daemons chapter from the Concepts handbook.
